Cecil Gandia's journey in healthcare began at UVA, where she founded the first Pre-PA club in 1998. Inspired by her parents, a US Navy immigrant father and a pioneering RN mother, she built a career spanning primary care for the Navy, pioneering roles such as the first PA/Administrator at SMG, and hair transplant surgery. During the 2020 pandemic, she fought on the frontlines in NYC and became one of the first Covid Compliance Officers for HBO. In September 2023, she founded Icon Aesthetix, realizing her 20-year dream in aesthetic medicine to empower patients. Icon Aesthetix, a female Filipino-American owned business, celebrates diversity, resilience, and individual empowerment.
