About the Speaker

Stavros Tombris MD, PhD, DDS has been the Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Athens Euroclinic Hospital and Children’s Euroclinic Hospital since 2005. In 2019 he was awarded the "Physician of the Year" by the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation in recognition of his contribution to the research, diagnosis and treatment of vascular anomalies. In the same year, he was appointed Visiting Professor at Henan Provincial People's Hospital of the People's Republic of China, as an internationally recognized scientist in the field of vascular lesions. Currently, Dr. Tombris also serves as an affiliated expert to the Vascular Birthmark Institute at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and the Zentrum für Vasculäre Malformation at the Werner Forßmann Hospital in Eberswalde, Germany. His main scientific interests include the treatment of hemangiomas and vascular malformations of the face, as well as the benign and malignant diseases of the face and neck.

Albert Wolkerstorfer, MD is dermatologist and principal investigator at the Netherlands Institute for Pigment Disorders/Department of Dermatology, Amsterdam University Medical Centers. His academic fields of interest are pigmented disorders and lasers & energy based devices in dermatology. In both fields he combines research with clinical work at the outpatient department.

Eulalia Baselga Md, PhD is a Pediatric Dermatologist, Head of the department of Dermatology, at the Children’s Hospital Sant Joan de Deu, Barcelona Spain. Her major research interest is in vascular malformation. She is the coordinator of the Vascular Multidisciplinary Clinic at her Hospital. She is a founder and current President of the Hemangioma Investigator Group; member of the Scientific Committee for ISSVA ( international Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies); Member of the European Reference Network VASCA. She has over 20 years experience on the use of vascular lasers for vascular lesions.
