About the Speaker

Konika Patel Schallen, MD, Founder and Medical Director of CMA, Center for Modern Aesthetic Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida, and Medical Director of Candela Corporation.
A graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, she completed her Internship in General Surgery and Residency in Emergency Medicine at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She practiced and served on faculty at the Washington School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and enjoys all aspects of medicine, but ultimately found her passion for aesthetic medicine and lasers when living in Madrid. She completed her Masters in Aesthetic Medicine at the University of the Baleares and has been combining her passion for learning, teaching and aesthetic even since. Currently serving as the VP, Clinical Operations and Medical Director at Candela, she especially enjoys the opportunity to work with the many highly skilled professionals and luminaries around the world to advance the practice of laser medicine and surgery.
