Gilly Munavalli, MD, MHS - Moderator
Charlotte, NC

Dr. Gilly Munavalli is a Board-certified member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic and Cutaneous Oncology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American College of Phlebology. His affiliations include Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Wake Forest University Department of Dermatology and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at UNC School of Medicine, Carolinas Medical Center. Previously, he spent 4 years on the clinical faculty of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, in Baltimore, MD. 

Paul M. Friedman, MD
Houston, TX

Dr. Paul M. Friedman is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and fellowship trained in dermatologic laser surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology. He is the director of the Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center of Houston, TX and also practices at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York. Dedicated to research and patient education, he has authored over 100 medical articles and textbook contributions. He has been recognized with multiple awards including the prestigious 2019 Leon Goldman Memorial Award from the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Friedman is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical School, Department of Dermatology, and a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at the Weill Cornell Medical College, Houston Methodist Hospital.

Jill Waibel, MD
Miami, FL

Dr. Jill Waibel is a board certified dermatologist, and specializes in cutaneous laser surgery, general and cosmetic dermatology.  She is currently the medical director and owner of the Miami Dermatology and Laser Institute in South Miami.  In her practice she has over 35 laser devices and has successfully developed industry leading procedures and techniques with lasers.  Dr. Waibel lectures nationally and internationally as well published over thirty peer-reviewed journal articles and several textbook chapters.

Douglas Wu, MD, PhD, FRCPC, FAAD
San Diego, CA

Dr. Douglas Wu is a double Board-Certified Dermatologist in both Canada and the USA with specialty training in Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Wu also holds a PhD in Clinical Immunology from the University of Oxford. He has authored numerous medical articles and textbook chapters, and lectures at major conferences across the globe. As Director of Research at the practice, Dr. Wu supervises between 20-30 ongoing clinical trials at any given time, placing him at the forefront of discovery and innovation in cosmetic dermatology.

Firas Al-Niaimi, MD
London, UK

Prof. Firas Al-Niaimi is an award winning dermatologist with over 210 scientific publications in medical journals, 10 book chapters (and his own book) and over 400 scientific presentations in more than 55 countries around the globe. Prof. Al-Niaimi is one of the UK's most prolific and well-published dermatologists and one with a renowned international standing.

He is also a highly experienced and respected consultant dermatologist with nearly 20 years of medical experience and trained in some of the UK's top hospitals including the largest dermatology department in Europe (Manchester) and the world-renowned St. John's Institute of Dermatology at St. Thomas’ hospital where he completed a prestigious laser and Mohs surgical fellowship there and continued to work as an honorary consultant for several years.

Currently in addition to his private practice he is involved in academic research and international teaching and training of doctors and was awarded the Global Excellence Award for the title consultant dermatologist of the year 2019 in London given his services and commitment to dermatology. In 2021 he was appointed professor in dermatology and becomes the first and only professor in laser dermatology in the UK.
