Overview
A Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, he became the first dermatologist in Victoria in 1982 to use lasers in the management of birthmarks, and in 1989, he established the Laser Unit at the Royal Children’s Hospital, which uses a variety of lasers to treat vascular and pigmentary birthmarks. In 1993, he established Laser Dermatology, a private clinic specializing in laser therapy. Assoc. Prof. Bekhor is also a specialist Mohs Micrographic surgeon and has a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic treatments. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed literature and is a member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the Australian College of Dermatologists.
